Juvenile arthritis covers any arthritic condition occuring in humans up to 16 years old. There are three main types of juvenile arthritis. Pauciarticular is the juvenile name for rheumatoid arthritis. A similar-sounding name, polyarticular, represents chronic juvenile arthritis. Finally, systemic is still another form of juvenile (up to age 16) rheumatoid arthritis.
